Our MISSION is to develop and enhance a players’ overall basketball IQ to make sound decisions on the floor and to elevate their teammates. This process will allow our players to be true leaders and perform at a high level under competitive circumstances. Success isn’t always measured by wins and losses. We define success by the level of competitiveness and commitment to face challenges head-on. In life, we face numerous challenges, which at times seem insurmountable, our program focuses on developing the mindset and skill set to withstand these moments to become victorious.
Our team programs focus on preparing players to work as a unit. These skills go beyond the basketball court and prepare players for their journey in life.
Our FOCUS program is geared for boys and girls ages 5 through 13 to help them learn the fundamentals of the game. Teams will participate in inter-squad games only to foster a competitive learning environment for players. The program's highlight is our partnership with Sacred Heart University, which will allow teams to play during halftime of collegiate games.
Our AAU/Travel program allows players to test their development and sharpen their skills in competitive events, which our program director handpicked to provide our teams with the best exposure and experience. Teams will compete on various level based on skill set. The focus at each level is the development of players and how they work as a unit. Winning is a byproduct of good development.
YLBA requires players to purchase game jerseys and practice gear. Our program wears primary Nike related apparel. Nike custom orders take 4-5 weeks (stock) & 4 months (digital) to receive and requires a minimum of 10 uniforms per order. YLBA will process team orders as a group. This process ensures everyone has the required equipment at the same time.
Nike custom uniforms cost roughly $160 per set. Home and Away uniforms are required for each team. Practice gear (top & shorts) cost roughly $100 and can be purchased online at anytime or during the group order. We order new uniforms annually for the new season, which starts in the Spring of every year. Returning players will use the same gear for the Summer, Fall, & Winter. All items will be delivered to players during practice or prior to an event.
